Literary and Art Theory

Professor Bao teaches Western Aesthetics and Art Theory at the Literature Institute of the Shanghai Academy of Social Sciences. He is also the Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Shanghai Culture magazine. He received both his M.A. and Ph.D. in Literary and Art Theory from Fudan University. At the Harvard-Yenching Institute, Professor Bao studied Chinese cultural identity in the context of the processes of globalization and localization.
