Seoul National University

Hong Doo-Seung is a professor of sociology at Seoul National University. He served as president of the Korean Sociological Association in 2008.  Dr. Hong’s recent publications include The Korean Middle Classes (Seoul National University Press, 2005) and Socioeconomic Changes in North Korea (coauthored, Seoul National University Press, 2007). He is now working on a monograph tentatively entitled “High Society, Low Society.”
