Liu Liu is currently a Ph.D. Candidate in the Department of Philosophy of  East China Normal University. Her research interest lies in the current Theravadin Insight Meditation system and other Contemplative Fitness trainings, as well as interdisciplinary studies of Meditation/ Mindfulness/ Contemplation, like Contemplative Neuroscience and Evolutionary Psychology. She is now working on the “Restoration” of the possible early Buddhist Jhāna System in the Pali Nikāyas. During her stay at HYI, she will carry on this “restoration” project and work on an interdisciplinary interpretation of a “restored” possible Jhāna System.
