Yu Zhenhua is a Professor of Philosophy, East China Normal University, Shanghai.  He got a Ph. D. in Chinese philosophy in 1998 at the Department of Philosophy, East China Normal University, with a dissertation on modern Chinese metaphysics.  He has just finished his second doctoral project at the Center for the Study of the Natural Sciences and the Humanities (SVT), University of Bergen, Norway.  He successfully defended his dissertation “On the Tacit Dimension of Human Knowledge” in June 2006 in Bergen.  At the Harvard-Yenching Institute he worked on a project entitled “The Crisis of Epistemology and a Possible Way out.”
