Dr. Wu Xiaohong is a professor and currently associate dean at the School of Archaeology and Museology, Peking University. Her teaching areas include archaeological sciences, theories and methods of dating in archaeology. Her present research projects include “The origins and early stage of Chinese civilizations: establishing chronological frameworks for different cultural regions from 4500BC-1500BC,” supported by the State Ministry of Science in China, and “Chronological research on modern humans during the Epipleistocene in China,” supported by the State Ministry of Education in China. She has published over 90 papers, including a June 2012 article in Science on 20,000 year old pottery discovered in China.
