Jiraporn LAOCHAROENWONG

Jiraporn Laocharoenwong is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Sociology and Anthropology, Chulalongkorn University, Thailand. Her research spans human and non-human animal mobility in the Southeast Asia Borderland, focusing on the mobility of livestock (cattle) as ‘live commodities’ in regional supply chains and production of meat. She also touches on health borders, pathogens, and human-animal relations during the animals’ long journeys. Her ongoing research concentrates on animal feed production on both sides of the Myanmar-Thailand border.
