Jiyan Ilbrink is an intellectual historian of middle period China. She holds a master’s degree from Harvard and a doctorate from Leiden. While focusing her research on Tang-Song political thought, she also has a persistent interest in intellectual history methodology. Currently she is preparing articles in both spheres for publication and turning her dissertation into a monograph.
Current Research Projects: political philosophy in Tang and Song dynasties; mental health care in medieval China; conceptual exclusion in global intellectual history.
