Geri Jiebu is an Associate Professor in the School of Chinese Ethnic Minority Language and Literature at Minzu University of China. Geri received his Ph.D. in Tibetan linguistics from the Institute of Tibetan Studies at Minzu University of China. During his studies, he spent two years at Harvard University as a visiting student. His research primarily focuses on morphosyntax, historical linguistics, and textual philology within the Sino-Tibetan language family, with particular attention to linguistic and literary aspects of Old Tibetan manuscripts. His publications include over thirty peer-reviewed articles in Tibetan, Chinese, and English, two monographs (in Tibetan and Chinese respectively), and one edited volume of translated research papers. He is currently conducting research on evidentiality and ergativity in Tibetan biographical literature at the Harvard-Yenching Institute.
