Zong-Rong Lee is a research fellow at the Institute of Sociology, Academia Sinica, Taiwan. He received his Ph.D. from the Sociology Department at the University of Chicago. His primary research interests lie in economic sociology and social networks, especially in the East Asian context. His current research project at the Harvard-Yenching Institute explores how kinship networks shape the market economy and the mobility trajectories of corporate elites in post-war Taiwan. His work has been published in various sociological journals, including the American Journal of Sociology, the Revue Française de Sociologie, and The Annals of Applied Statistics, among others. He also co-edited Unfinished Miracle: Taiwan’s Economy and Society in Transition, a volume on the economic sociology of Taiwan’s development and economic transition, published in 2017.
