Chi Mingzhou is currently a Ph.D. candidate in the Department of South Asian Studies at Peking University. Having two years’ life experience in India, he is fascinated with ancient Indian monuments. His master’s thesis was on “Indian Indigenous Elements in the Islamic Tomb Architectures in the Mughal Dynasty.” Currently, his major interest is research of Vastu knowledge in dwellings and religious buildings, and its comparison with China’s Fengshui theory. His Ph.D. dissertation is on “The Study of Direction Theory of Indian Vastu knowledge in Dwellings and Religious buildings.” Meanwhile, he is trying to translate an Indian Vastuvidya book, Manasara, into Chinese.
