Yang Qingfan

Qingfan Yang is currently an assistant professor at the Center for Tibetan Studies and the Department of Archaeology, Sichuan University. She received her PhD in Archaeology from Sichuan University in 2007 and received her master’s degree in Tibetan history and Dunhuang studies from the Central University for Nationalities in 1998. She worked as an assistant researcher in the Tibetan Academy of Social Sciences, Lhasa from 1998–2003 and conducted field research in most of the counties in Central Tibet (dBus and gTsang). Her research focuses on archaeology and art in Tibetan areas and the archaeology and arts of Tibetan Buddhism. She has published a monograph and over a dozen articles and academic translations. Recent research topics include Archaeological Research at Tibetan Esoteric Buddhist Sites and Relics and the Wall Paintings of Jataka Tales in Zhwa-lu Monastery, TAR.
