Lin Wei-Ping (Visiting Scholar 2005-06) was awarded the 2016 ‘Scholarly Monograph Award in the Humanities and Social Sciences’ from Academia Sinica for her monograph Materializing Magic Power: Chinese Popular Religion in Villages and Cities. The book was published in 2015 by Harvard University Press and is part of the HYI Monograph Series, overseen by the Asia Center Publications Program. Dr. Lin currently is Professor in the Department of Anthropology at National Taiwan University.
