Photos from our training programs, conferences, and alumni gatherings

This summer, HYI co-sponsored two training programs: “Building Senior-Friendly Societies in Asia: Harnessing Social Technology for Global Aging,” which was held at Tsinghua University in Beijing, and “New Materials and New Approaches to the Study of Chinese Rural Society,” which was held in Fujian, China.

The Institute also co-sponsored a conference on “Translations of Sacred and Mystical Texts in Interfaith Dialogues” held at the Chinese University of Hong Kong and organized by Prof. Sophie Ling-chia Wei.

Institute staff visited several partner universities and held alumni gatherings in multiple cities, including Hokkaido, Kyoto, Nanjing, Wuhan, and Hong Kong. The Institute also hosted a reception at the AAS-in-Asia annual meeting which was held in Kathmandu, Nepal.
