For 'Women and National Trauma in Late Imperial Chinese Literature' (HYI Monograph Series 92)

The Harvard-Yenching Institute congratulates Professor Wai-yee Li for receiving the 2016 Joseph Levenson Pre-1900 Book Prize for her monograph Women and National Trauma in Late Imperial Chinese Literature. The monograph is published by the Harvard University Asia Center as part of the Harvard-Yenching Institute Monograph Series (#92).

Tamara Chin’s Savage Exchange: Han Imperialism, Chinese Literary Style, and the Economic Imagination (HYI Monograph Series #94) was awarded honorable mention in the same category.
