Charisma K. Lepcha teaches anthropology at Sikkim University, India. She received her PhD from the North-Eastern Hill University, Shillong, India. She was a Fellow at the Indian Institute of Advanced Study (IIAS), Shimla (2018-2019). Her research interests include religion, indigeneity, identity, visual anthropology and material culture. She has co-edited two volumes titled Communities, Institutions and Histories of India’s Northeast (2021) and The Cultural Heritage of Sikkim (2018).
