Gargi CHATURVEDI
赵竟溪 / गार्गी चतुर्वेदी

Gargi Chaturvedi is an Institute of Chinese Studies-Harvard Yenching Institute (ICS-HYI) fellow. She is currently pursuing her Ph.D. from Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), New Delhi. She has completed her B.A. (Hons) in Chinese & M.A. in Chinese from the Centre for Chinese Studies, Jawaharlal Nehru University. She also holds an advance diploma in Chinese language from Beijing Language and Culture University, Beijing. Her research interests include the cultural policy of the PRC, modern and contemporary Chinese literature, and gender and migration issues in Post-reform China. Her doctoral research aims to define and situate Red Culture within Xi Jinping’s New Era discourse, analyzing its ideological roots, historical framing, and public consumption. She has presented her research work at the All India Conference of China Studies (2024), Conference on Domestic Governance in China (2022) and the Asian Conference on Culture Studies (2026).
