Joseph Siu Kam wah is Senior Lecturer at Department of History, The Chinese University of Hong Kong.  He got his B.A.(1993) and M.Phil.(1996) in History, M.A.(2004) in Computer-aided Translation from The Chinese University of Hong Kong, and D.Litt.(2001) from Kyoto University with the Japanese Government Scholarship Grants.  He has been researching the history and culture of Tang-Song China especially with focus on the transformation of bureaucracy and administration in the metropolitan regions since 1993. In recent years, he has also conducted research on the development of history and integrated humanities education in East Asia.  He has been teaching the Tang-Song history, history education in East Asia and Japanese sinology at The Chinese University of Hong Kong and Japanese language at other universities and academic institutions for several years.
