Jung-Hwa Ha is Professor in the Department of Social Welfare at Seoul National University, South Korea. She received her Ph.D. in Social Work and Sociology from the University of Michigan. Her research focuses on older adults’ social relationships and support, stress and coping, bereavement, end-of-life care, and dementia care. Her recent work has examined the implications of childlessness for older adults’ well-being and living arrangements, as well as cultural differences in end-of-life care planning. She is also engaged in intervention research for older adults.
