Kim Jinhee’s research focuses on Korean medieval poetry.  The subject of her Master’s thesis was the influence of music on Ballads in the Koryo dynasty.  She has been studying the relationship between the music and literature since then.  She is also interested in oral tradition in Korean literature because Korean medieval poetry recorded in Hangul (Korean alphabet ) was very much influenced by music and oral performance.
