Le Thi Thu Hang is a research fellow at the Institute of Americas Studies, Vietnam Academy of Social Sciences. She got her MA in American Studies from University of Kansas and PhD in History from Graduate Academy of Social Sciences. Her research and teaching interests include American history and culture after World War II and American history of consumption. Her work focuses on the impacts of consumption trends on social changes. She is also interested in those trends and changes in contemporary Vietnam. She has involved in various research projects exploring the influence of American consumer culture on Vietnam in the past and at present.
