Lei Li has been an Associate Professor at the School of Foreign Studies, Nankai University, P.R.C. since June 2024. Her research focuses on Sino-Western cultural exchange and overseas Sinology. She is researching the Basel Mission, its transmission of Chinese culture to the public in the German-speaking Europe and its ethnological writings of Hakka people.
