Dengyang Liao is an M.A. student in the RSEA program at Harvard. He received a B.A. in History at Zhejiang University, China. He studied at Harvard as a visiting student from Jan 2018 to May 2018. His primary research interests are Modern China; Social History; Economic History; Intellectual and Cultural History; Empire and Imperialism; Treaty Ports; and History of Science.
