Sohn Jiyoung
손지영 / 孫志瑛

Jiyoung Sohn received her B.A. in Comparative Literature and Political Science at Yonsei University, with a year spent studying at Dartmouth College. Prior to joining Harvard RSEA, she was a journalist at The Korea Herald and ABC News in Seoul. Her research interests lie at the intersection of work, organizations and gender. She is broadly interested in the mechanisms by which workplace environments that produce gender inequality in career outcomes can change. Her qualitative research project at Harvard employed in-depth interviews with female senior managers working at large Korean firms with above-average proportions of female executives to determine positive components of organizational environments that support women’s career growth.
