Tanaka Yoko is a Professor of Economic History, International and Advanced Japanese Studies, the University of Tsukuba in Japan. She received her B.A. and Ph.D. from the Department of Economics at the University of Tokyo. Her major research interest focuses on business and labor history, labor relations, and labor policies, particularly in Germany, but it also includes comparative studies from historical and global points of view. She was invited as a Research Fellow at Humboldt University Berlin from 2015 to 2016. Her current research project explores the long-term structural change of work in the international perspective.
