Chunyu Wang is an Associate Professor and PhD supervisor at the School of Architecture and Urban Planning, Chongqing University. He was previously a Postdoctoral Fellow at Tsinghua University. With a diverse, cross-regional academic background, he holds Bachelor’s, Master’s, and Doctoral degrees in Architecture from Wuhan University, Tongji University, and the University of Hawaii at Manoa, respectively. He also serves as the Deputy Secretary-General of the Standards Committee at the China Association of Gerontology and Geriatrics and is an editorial board member for Interdisciplinary Nursing Research.
Prof. Wang’s research focuses on the interdisciplinary field of architecture, geriatrics, and data science, dedicated to the development of age-friendly environments and healthy cities. He has authored or co-authored four books and published over 20 papers in high-impact journals. At the Harvard-Yenching Institute, he will conduct research on the equity and design of affordable nursing homes for low-income and vulnerable older populations.
