Harriet Haiyun Wu received her B.A. from the School of Journalism & Communication at Nanjing University, and her M.A. in Sociology, Media and Cultural Studies from Loughborough University in the UK. Currently a doctoral candidate at the Si-Mian Institute for Advanced Studies in Humanities at East China Normal University, she comes to Harvard to do dissertation research on the representations of “the west” in contemporary China.
