Wen-Chin Wu is an Assistant Research Fellow of the Institute of Political Science at Academia Sinica (IPSAS), Taiwan. His research focuses on political economy, comparative authoritarianism, and Chinese politics. He is particularly interested in the economic statecraft of dictatorships and the determinants of authoritarian resilience. Wen-Chin’s works have been published in Democratization, International Studies Quarterly, Party Politics, Political Research Quarterly, etc. Wen-Chin received a B.A. and a M.A. from National Chengchi University. He also obtained a M.A. from Katholieke Universiteit Leuven and a Ph.D. in Political Science from Michigan State University. Before joining the IPSAS, Wen-Chin was a postdoctoral fellow at the Asian Barometer headquartered at National Taiwan University.
