Yang Qian is currently a Ph.D. student at Shandong University. She received her B.A. and M.A. from Shandong University. Her M.A. thesis looked at ritual activities in the house-making process in the central plains of the Shang Dynasty. Her research interests include ritual, burial, and settlement in the Chinese Bronze Age from an archaeological perspective. Her dissertation explores burial differences between central and peripheral areas during the Shang Dynasty.
