Zhang Lina is a postdoctoral fellow at the National Museum of China (中国国家博物馆) from 2023 to 2025. She received her PhD from Lanzhou University, and was a visiting fellow in the Buddhism and Ethnicity in the Period of Sixteen Kingdoms and Northern Dynasties Program at Harvard University. Her current research is focused on Buddhist history, Buddhist rock-cut cave art, and archaeology in medieval China. She is particularly interested in the issues of art, power, politics, patronage, and liturgy of Buddhist sanctuaries.
