Chi-keung Chan (Visiting Scholar, 2022-23) is co-author (with Stephen C. Angle) of “Affective Knowing in Wang Yangming” in European Journal of Philosophy, 1–23 (2026).

Ruby YS Lai (Visiting Scholar, 2025-26) is author of “Remedial Labour and the Materialities of Housing Precarity: Homemaking in Informal Subdivided Units” in Sociology (2026) and “Repairing Home, Rebuilding Mental Well-Being: Mitigating Housing Precarity Through Community Materialities of Care” in Health & Social Care in the Community (2026).

Nguyen Hoang-Yen (Visiting Scholar, 2020-21) is co-author (with Truong, L. Q.) of “The Other as a mirror: Cross-cultural encounters and the other in the eyes of Chosŏn and Vietnamese envoys” in International Journal of Korean History, 31(1), 139-177 (2026), part of a special themed issue on “Korean and Vietnamese Envoy Accounts in Regional and Comparative Perspective.”

Son Eunsil (BC Ricci Institute–HYI Joint Visiting Researcher, 2024-25) has been promoted to tenured Full Professor in the Department of Religious Studies at Seoul National University, and elected President of the Korean Society for Medieval Philosophy (2025-27). Beginning this fall, she will serve as Chair of the Interdisciplinary Program in Western Classics at Seoul National University (2026-28). Her recent publications are “The Poverty of God”: The Source of Cardinal Kim Su-hwan’s Spirituality and Pastoral Ministry” in Journal of Korean Religions, Vol. 17, no. 1 (April 2026); “Martino Martini’s Qiu you pian (逑友篇, 1647): Introducing the Christian Understanding of Friendship in Early Modern China” in Religions 17 (2026), 62; 15 pp; “Thomas Aquinas on Twofold Happiness: Philosophical Ideal and Wisdom of Faith” in Journal of Western Medieval History 56 (2025), 65-99; and “Thomas Aquinas on ‘Homosexuality’: A Reassessment in Light of His Concept of Natural Law and Human Nature” in The Catholic Philosophy 44 (2025), 107-141.

In Hee Song (Visiting Fellow, 2016-17) is author of the object essay “Lotus Motifs in the Goryeo Celadon Tradition” for the exhibition catalog of “Ten Kings of Hell: The Afterlife in Medieval Korea” (Yale University Press, 2026), while she also assisted with the editing. The exhibition will be open to the public from October 11, 2026 through January 3, 2027, at the Cleveland Museum of Art, with a two-day symposium linked to the exhibition titled “The Rise of the “Ten Kings of Hell” on the silk road” taking place in November 20 and 21, 2026.

Yu-Yueh Tsai (Visiting Scholar, 2022-23) received the 2026 Star-Nelkin Paper Award from the Science, Knowledge, and Technology Section of the American Sociological Association. The award recognizes an outstanding journal article that makes a significant contribution to advancing the sociology of science, knowledge, and technology in the world. The award-winning article, “Indigenous DNA as a Metaphor: Nation-Building and Scientific Debates on the Rediscovery of Taiwanese Ancestry,” was published in Social Studies of Science. She is also co-author (with Ming-Cheng Lo and Michael Liu) of Taiwan’s COVID-19 Experience: Governance, Governmentality, and the Global Pandemic (Routledge, 2024).

Rosa Yi (HYI-NUS Joint Doctoral Scholar Program, 2021-25) has joined the National University of Management (NUM) as a faculty member in its School of Public Policy, and a deputy director of its ASEAN Economic Research Institute.

Zhao Xingzhi (Linguistic and Semiotic Anthropology Training Program Visiting Scholar, 2021-22) is editor and translator of 皮尔斯：论符号（编年本) (Peirce: On Signs (A Chronological Edition)), published by Sichuan University Press in 2026.
