Huang Sujuan is a lecturer in the Department of Applied Sociology and an Assistant Researcher in the Research Center for South China Business, Guangdong University of Finance & Economics. She received her B.A in Social Work and M.S in History of Science and Technology from South China Agricultural University, and a Ph.D. in Historical Anthropology from Sun Yat-sen University. Her research interests include Chinese business history, local history in South China and the history of Guangzhou, especially during the late Qing and the Republican Era.
