Yan Lijun was previously a Ph.D. candidate in the Department of Sociology at the University of Hong Kong. She obtained both her master’s and bachelor’s degree from the Department of Anthropology, Sun Yat-sen University. Her research interests include mobility, border studies, family, and urban studies. Her Ph. D. thesis examined the mobility patterns of Mainland families who have practiced cross-border childbirth in Hong Kong.
