Akiko Tokunaga-Yokoyama is a Ph.D. student in the Graduate School of Social Sciences at Hitotsubashi University, Tokyo, Japan. Her research interests include grammar description and language documentation of endangered languages. Her doctoral dissertation focuses on describing the grammar of the Okinoerabu language which is spoken on one of the Ryukyuan islands, located southwest of mainland Japan. She is also interested in language change, revitalization and cultural anthropology.
