Abstract: The paper examines the formation of the metropolitan area covering one prefecture (Zhou or Fu) and its development into a larger metropolitan area covering several prefectures in the former Tang dynasty and the Northern Song dynasty. It also compares the features of the metropolitan systems and measures in both periods. It reveals the inheritance and transformation of the Tang metropolitan system to meet the need for centralized rule of the Unified Empire of the Northern Song dynasty. The development of the metropolitan system in the Tang and Song dynasties was largely consistent, with minor differences. It set an important precedent for the evolution of the metropolitan system in later generations.
摘要: 本文考察唐朝尤其前期與北宋兩代建立拓展一州或一府的畿內為一州府、數輔州的大畿內制的歷程，並分析兩朝畿內體制措施的內涵及特色，由此揭示北宋畿內制度既沿用唐制舉措，又改革發展，以迎合大一統帝國的中央集權統治需要。唐、宋兩朝的畿內制度發展是一脈相承，大同小異，為後世的都畿制度發展樹立了重要典範。
